This short film begins with a relief visible on the building of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, telling the uplifting moments of its founding and the actual work involved in its realization.
In both Hungarian and English, the film invokes Count István Széchenyi’s legendary offer to the Hungarian Parliament, the co-founders, and the circumstances surrounding the initiative, as well as the subsequent organization of how the Hungarian Scientific Society became the Academy of Sciences.
