The Lions of Przemyśl
The centenary of World War I prompted significant activity in Hungary's museums and academia. We produced several films on the topic, including one about the siege of Przemyśl.
Przemyśl was one of the most important fortress cities of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It survived one siege but could not withstand the second. A disproportionately large part of the defending forces consisted of Hungarian units, embedding the tongue-twisting Slavic name into local family histories.
