The Battle of Breadfield was one of the greatest and bloodiest victories of the medieval Kingdom of Hungary against the Ottoman Empire, which may explain why it is a recurring theme for Hungarians.
Due to uncertainties in the descriptions of the battle, several attempts have been made over the years to reconstruct Stephen Báthory and Pál Kinizsi’s great victory.
